Classic of 1960s Polish design that continues to impress with its form and functionality.
The GFM-64 set consisted of two armchairs: one with a low backrest and another with a high backrest. The high-back model came with a sleek footstool, and buyers could also enjoy a removable headrest (also referred to as a „head cushion”). The Furniture Industry Union assigned it a number following the standard classification: the high-back version was numbered 300-188, while the low-back version was labeled 300-188 Var. The set is often mistakenly attributed to Juliusz Kędziorek, the second member of the Gościcino designer duo. This is often justified by referring to the GFM-87 armchair designed by Kędziorek in the second half of the 1960s, whose armrest shape somewhat resembles the No. 64 model.
